HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Ushering in the new year is a string of events that marked the first day of 2006. My new years' eve period is spent with a group of my friends, walking down the isle of Orchard Road, doing nothing but assigning workloads to our feet. We started our journey from hyatt, walking down towards city hall area, passing by wisma, taka and ps. ended up at singapore river and the rest continued their journey towards lau pa sat(old market) for supper. I abandoned them halfway cos i gave my word to another fren to meet her. I waited alil' too long for a cab and got quite pissed off. All the other available cabs were either on-call or busy? what the fuck. just bcos some fucking selfish cab drivers wanna earn alil' over 2 bucks more, they'd rather drive around aimlessly to wait for calls at the cost of customer's soverignty? They're lots of pple out there in a hurry to get a cab asap, me included, and lots of empty cabs out there. Fucking pissed off. after shelfing more than 30mins off my new years' day, i finally managed to get a cab and i had a nice lil' chat with the driver. Much to my surprise, he actually switched off his on-board communication device and he'd rather pick passengers up on the spot than waiting for calls. he's one of the few cabbies out there plying the streets of singapore who are considerate and not selfish. thankyounicecabbie!

After meeting up with my fren at fareast whilst the rest were still in chinablack, we pampered ourselves with merci chocs and black cat. hahaha. wth!!!! Thank God i inherit my dad's genes of being able to take liquor well. budden, alcohol isn't good for anyone's body. furthermore, its 40% alcohol. no child's play.

And yes, we managed to finish the entire bottle, both of us only. hhaa. a round of applause please...

After the rest came out of cb, we went to Mark's place in hopes of shaving his head cos he's enlisting on thursday, but too bad his shaver was unavailable.

Many of my friends are enlisting in january. haiz.. i sense impending isolation. Mundanity and monotonousity await in fate's favour. Im gonna find stuff to occupy myself with before i enlist in April. Perhaps finding a job is a good option. Finding a good job is an option.

After i reached home at around 2, i went to sleep and woke up at around 945 to reply afew msges and answer afew calls. I was supposed to meet up with Ben, Mark n Daryl, of whom Ben n Mark are enlisting in january. Budden, i went back to slp again soon after i hung up his call. wth. im a pig. an oinky one. sorry didnt mean to pangseh y'all. cos i woke up at arnd 5am this morning, penning down my account right here, right now.

The year 2005 has been a year of crests and troughs, with many major events and incidents to its account. the fucking T.T.Durian one really got my blood boiling! Every one dollar we donate, 10 cents go to the poor and needy whereas 90 cents go to the rich and wealthy? Even though he resigned and that the governing body has changed, i still cannot simply reinstate my trust back so easily. Lets not forget that approximately a year back, the Asian tsunami struck and claimed hundreds and thousands of lives. How'bt the chopping up of the maid's body that was found in the heart of our very own shopping paradise, Orchard Road. The London bombings only goes to prove how fucking hum the terrorists are, and will be. They're just misusing the name and religion of Muslim to fuel frustration and anger amongst peace seekers. They're sending a train of irreverent mockery towards their own religion, their own belief. We should never regard the terrorists as part of our image of Muslims. cos i believe all religion promote peace and kindness, unlike terrorism. And i hope that Bush resigns his US presidency, for his selfish acts condemn the entire reputation of the US.

On the flip side of the coin, there are some events in 2005that are worthy of our joy and celebration. In the SEA Games '05, Singapore did exceptionally well, attaining 42 golds and setting many respectable records in the competition. Not to forget, Singapore's economic growth for that year has been slightly more than forecasted. Finally, lets not forget that COE prices has fallen to the all-time lowest in the decade and this piece of news should bring much joy and excitement to avid car lovers and buyers.

Lets hope that the year 2006 will have lots of pleasant surprises in store for all of us!
